Plus, 6 Lessons for National Infertility Awareness Week

Hi friend!
Itâs National Infertility Awareness Week, and if youâre navigating this path right now â or have in the past â I just want to say: I see you.
Infertility cracks you open. And slowly, painfully, it reshapes you â mentally, physically, emotionally. Looking back, these are the lessons that still stick with me the most:
Itâs not just about your reproductive system. It impacts every part of your life â your body, mind, relationships, career, and sense of self.
You canât hustle your way through it. Trust me, I tried. But infertility doesnât reward effort â it humbles it.
You have to be your own biggest advocate. Ask the hard questions. Get a second opinion. Speak up when something feels off.
Two things can be true at once. You can feel hope and heartbreak, joy and grief â all at once. Itâs messy, but itâs real.
Taking a break â or walking away â is not giving up. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is pause.
It changes you. For better, for worse â or both. But you wonât come out the same. And thatâs okay.
If you're in it right now, I'm sending you so much love. Itâs one of the hardest things you'll ever face â but youâre not alone in how deeply it changes you.

PCOS with regular periods? Yep, itâs possible.
If youâve ever wondered how you could possibly have PCOS when your cycle seems pretty regular â youâre not imagining things. Despite what weâve been told, having consistent periods doesnât rule it out.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is a complex hormonal condition, and not everyone checks the same boxes. Some people have irregular cycles. Others donât. Some have visible cysts. Others never do.
Bottom line: PCOS looks different for everyone â and getting the right diagnosis means looking at the full picture, not just your period tracker.

$5,000 to have a baby? Cool. What about affordable childcare and paid leave?
A proposed âbaby bonusâ from the U.S. government is making headlines â offering new parents $5,000 as an incentive to grow their families. Sounds helpful, right?
Sure. But letâs be real: That one-time check doesnât even begin to cover the cost of childcare, let alone the long-term lack of paid parental leave or access to reproductive care.
We love support for families. But what we really need? Structural change that doesnât put the burden (and the bill) on parents alone.
đź Hereâs what you need to know about the baby bonus â and whatâs still missing.

Lastly, I think about my friend Lisa every day, but especially when I get my annual mammogram â like today. She passed away from breast cancer at just 31, and after losing her, I asked my doctor for genetic screening. Thatâs how I found out I carry the ATM gene mutation, which increases my risk.
Early detection saves lives. If youâre due for a mammogram, consider this your reminder. And if you're curious about your risk, talk to your doctor about genetic screening. It could make all the difference. đŤś
